I just got an e-mail confirming dates for showing paintings at the towns main library, this is going to be hard as I have 20 metres of wall space to fill from the 4th to the 25th of febuary.
I don't know how many people use the library now but news about my show will get published in the county councils events brochure and will be published on-line. all I need now is work out what paintings to show

Thank you but i must remember  more exposure  requires  bigger paintings

Morning Paul, I'm sure you will be able to fill your wall space.  Can you sell from this exhibition?  I ask because it might be a good idea to put in some smaller ones as folk maybe cannot afford a large painting but like your work and would like to have one of your paintings.  Sometimes folk do not have the wall space in their homes to accommodate a large painting whereas a smaller one would fit their home.   Just my thoughts.

Thank you.

Yes i can sell and I intend to put up a number of  10 x 10 cm canvases and frame up a lot of a4 paintings that i have.

When i started in the gallery  my wife said that i should get a credit / debit card reader  it only cost £29, there are no monthly fees and the charges are only something like 1.2% and i can take payments over the phone.

One of the artists at the gallery said since she had hers she has lost very few sales,  she often get people very intrested  in one of her paintings but when she could only take cash a number of people had too head off in search of a cash machine and never came back.

I with the mixture of sizes and number of paintings that i have to hang i might need a wagon  train to take all the paintings in as i could mount 50 or more paintings

Well done Paul. It is surprising how many people use the library to actually read books but folks are definitely interested in displays of art too. I am working on one just now for a display coming up in a few weeks. Myself and art group have had 4 displays already this year. People like to see them.

Thank you on the rare occasions that ive been into the library most of the people are using the free internet  om the dozen computers they have there.  I know there are a lot of people who still like the feel of a paper book in their hands,  At one time I'd  read a book a day but i went over to a kindle because holding a book hurt my hands and neck after an accident . After i got sleep apnea  i just can't  focus  on books
