This is mesmeric... I love it. It's the type of painting that I aspire to. A query whilst I'm here. In the black part of the paintings are what look like blacker drips or tears, how did you achieve this effect?

Hi Nick, Thanks for the boost. I like texture in paintings. As black can be very flat and light absorbing I put some texture into it with raised lines of water based glue. When dry I painted over with lamp black oil and then got roll your own cigarette filters and dipped them in paynes grey and dotted the black. Small dots in the back to larger dots towards the front.
