Bless it's heart. Our pets mourn the loss of their humans just like we mourn the loss of our furry friends. We kept my son's dog both times he went to Iraq. He would literally cry for weeks and stay where he could see the door. When he returned, we were afraid he would have a heart attack or break "himself" because he was so excited. He would not leave his side to eat or anything because he didn't want him to leave again without him.
