Thanks Lyn, they did stain my cloth, but the wash machine handled it well.

help please--- what is indirect method? I love the pomegranate as all your other works. amazing only 2 days

Hi Monica!  The indirect method is (as opposed to the direct method which are plein-air, bob ross, etc etc) is a much older method.  The paint is applied in layers.  This painting had an underpainting in full color created using liquin medium to accelerate drying.  The 2nd day involved highlights and deepening of all shadows with glazes.  This was especially fun as the red reflections and glare coming off the berries onto the cloth were laid in this way.  The photo doesn't give it justice as these places appear to glow from the red.
