it's true! I love this name - inland N.S.W. Inspired by photo I'd taken from roadside a year or so ago - the lovely canola growing. Mostly watercolour.

Gorgeous Carole! Hey don't we have cool names for places in oz, can't say i've heard of willy wally gully, really glad not to live in a place called willy wally lol... or dunedoo for that matter, no offense to anyone hailing from either spot. Looks like pretty country though. All the best

..funny you should mention Dunedoo Jess because Willy Wally Gully is 'on the way there' (and I was on my way further on to Eumungerie (between Dubbo/Gilgrandra).

Aha!  Now I know where it is. My folks lived in binnaway for a while, so up there abouts, but further out or is it in as in inland lol. I actually have this awesome misty shot taken on a deserted road almost to binnaway that I reckon would make an awesome painting, I'll have to dig it out and have a go. Gorgeous country to paint our oz, isn't it? Stunningly diverse. I think people are going to think we're making these place names up. I am still laughing at the high probability of a bloke named bill who lives in willy wally, lol.

or....where's Wally ... in Willy Wally Gully?  There is great diversity Jess - I should tackle some of Alice Springs soon .. and you do the misty deserted road one sometime ok?  (Over to everyone else now --- sorry we got off the beaten track for a bit)

Lovely Carole. I have some lovely photos of Ayers rock and Alice springs that I took a few years ago, I would like to paint  the hilltop in Alice but not ready to tackle that project yet..

thanks cheekyjane, and Kathy - I so loved about Alice Springs - the vibrant colours and amazing gorges and other scenery.  The big rock Uluru has its very own spirit - I did take on the 9 kilometre walk 'around' it with the tour group.
