A fast scribble even by my standards..

The car is packed for our trip up north.

No it isn't.

The car is packed. ....scribble scribble splat

Oh why didnt I think that we might need the kitchen sink. deep breathing think calm thoughts ...scribble. splat. splat.

Thanks very much and I do hope you both survive  the two weeks of ....i was going to say low tech life  but really it's  old tech life , it's what I was brought up on, books, cards games and board games.

With all the last minute  packing my wife forgot the most important thing you have to do before a road trip , we only made 20 mile before I had to stop.

Now I don't  know if I should be very worried but I've so far gone  past   6 snow plough on my drive north

It's not worth having a tv at the moment  anyway, if it's not going on about the royal wedding  they're talking about  the football cup final which for me is worse than the royal wedding .   to break up all this terrible tv my wife has got us invited to a real wedding . At least on our journey  i found a nice pub for something to eat

  • Thank you. Yes I do feel sorry for them as their life's are forever under a microscope and it's the wifes I feel sorry for because  everything they do is looked at and commented on and they can't  relax,  when prince Williams  Catherine left hospital  hours after  having A baby she looked like she'd  just come from a fashion shoot . If she came out  wearing  baggy comfatable cloths but you can guarantee  the press would have torn her to shreads

Thanks for the comments and likes because my wifes  feet don't  do what they're  supposed  to do we have hand controls for braking and the accelerator  so no need for a brick ted

Paul, I really enjoyed looking at your great 'scribbles' - these are very talented scribbles!  They tell the entire story, even if you had not mentioned a thing in words.  I love the whimsy and color!  (I'm curious - had you ever thought of being a cartoonist - if you get that question a lot, excuse the repetition.  I ask, also, because my husband and brother-in-law were good at drawing 'interesting' characters of their Brooklyn neighborhood.)  I still haven't 'gotten around' on here totally yet, so it will be interesting to have a look at your other art.  Thanks for the smiles that your wonderful anecdotal art gave me!

Thanks  Elaine  I think I do so many scribble now even I forget  that I do acrylic on canvas and try to do watercolours. I find pictures easier than word so they're  like a daily journal  I normally  get through a couple of 60 pads a month with scribble  and friend have got to like me doing very quick scribble replies  when chatting on WhatsApp and my daughter in law alway asks what's wrong if she doesn't  get at least one during a chat
