'graphics-play' - with my digitally-created pieces, i.e. trees, butterflies, clothesline and clothes/pegs, background etc. The mushroom originals had been black-white line drawings from an out-of-copyright botanical/fungi book sourced on Gutenberg.org. Had separated the caps from the bases, rotated some, put a slant on some ..and obviously coloured up in quirky colours. Added doors and windows ...

It is beautiful Carole. What digital program do you use?

thanks Pat - I've been using PhotoImpactX3 for many years now (now owned by Corel).  You should be able to trial a free-30-day download if you're interested.  It's a more budget-version of PS I guess, but to me is quite versatile enough.  What are you using?

I have Artrage, Gimp2....and other apps on my iPad. I cannot figure them out...confusing to me. I'm very bad with directions...lol...If someone could show me like doing the layers etc. And I could not find a stylus that works for me. I bought 3 of them and don't like them. Do you use a stylus or the mouse with that program?

Pat, much I can do with just a mouse, but if I do 'colouring-in' or drawing, I will use my Bamboo drawing tablet with stylus.  I do this all on my PC though.  Over the years I've 'saved' a lot of the objects I've created in my Photo-Impact E.P. (Easy Palette) for quick retrieval to re-use any-time.  BTW I have never gotten to the bottom of the layers-section.  I can 'overlay' items and give them added transparency levels - to create textures, and 'effects' but to actually use the layers dropdown through the creation of a new project, is another thing to conquer.

thanks Nelson, I'm sure you'll do amazing things given the chance playing with digital/graphics

that's good news Susanne; give it a go - you'll love it and no cleaning up afterwards.  I'm always surprised when I take on something new - always seems to come from left field, something I had never anticipated.  Good luck and have fun!
