Mandala done for the Zen-Sational challenge. I feel that the complex center with its intricacies of line and contrast merge into a more amorphous and miasmic state of mind. Makes me feel zen-sational.

It happens sometimes… for me, though, it's crucial to the piece because it's the contrast itself which makes it feel zen.  It's the balance of things which don't go together that I think of when I'm doing zen meditation.  I am like that myself as I am a mixture of different races which don't usually mix, different cultures which clash, and different goals which seemingly don't go together well. ;)
