About Me

Hi there everyone, please let me tell you a little bit about me.

The Ocean Artists Society

Member of 'The Ocean Artists Society'

ORCA - Supporting whales & dolphins around the globe

The Marine Conservation Society

The Marine Conservation Society - Helping our coastlines, oceans and marine wildlife through public interaction and on missions.

The Whale & Dolphin Society

The whale & Dolphin Society where I am a member at protector of wildlife level.

I am passionate about the world that we live in and my artworks try to reflect how I believe our oceans and coastlines ideally should remain, natural and revered. I try my best to support ocean awareness as much as I can and to promote our beautiful blue planet as the ocean has been so kind to me over the years..

I paint mostly using acrylics, my favorite medium as with this I can achieve the depth and richness of color that I desire and also love the quick drying property too.

My intention is to capture moments in time that leave a positive memory in the viewer, to create an almost scuba diving experience of beautiful realms beneath the water’s surface. Enabling the viewer to swim amongst clean sea beds and be washed over by the ever moving tide; or brush past sea turtles and be filled with color as they pass through schools of tropical fish. It is hopefully a welcome introduction to a beautiful world deep beneath the surface for those who live nowhere near the coast or who don’t have immediate access to the sea, a world that maybe only a few are blessed to see with their own eyes.

My above water waves and seascapes try to take the viewer to a special natural place.

I live in Lancashire England now and paint full time and really answer all emails that I receive from friends and fellow artists. If you want to email me about anything at all, even just to say hello, then that would brighten my day and I will reply :)

Please drop by my website too and leave me a message:) Thanks all and happy creatitivity.

I also have a little online store at Zazzle which offers a range of fancy goods, T shirts and more that incorporates my artwork, much of it has a marine conservation message. Please do drop by and have a look.

Merry Christmas one and all :)

Hi Friends,

I know that its a bit early but well I feel festive at the moment and cant wait until the snow falls. What a fantastic time to take photos or to paint the clean silent white landscape. So to round things off for anyone else who feels the approaching enchantment, that most magical and lovely time, where just for a few days the world actually is more caring;

I have attached a youtube link especially for you. and with that I wish you a very Merry Christmas.

Hi Alan,

Your passion of our beautiful planet, oceans on particular, is so sensible and visible in every piece you made. Thanx for sharing, I really enjoy the scuba dive experiences you share.

It is always Christmas in my heart and mind and life is so precious as I see others slip away.  Your work does bring a smile to my lips and it is a privilege to see such wonderful gifted artists at work and sharing what they do especially when there is a purpose for your work.  The Oceans and waterways are being destroyed by pollution and man has made a mess of our planet.  The younger generation seems more interested in cleaning it up and prayerfully they willl be able to surge ahead of us adults.

There is so much beauty and thought in your paintings thank you for sharing them with all who click onto your site.
