About Me

I grew up with a Mom who loved to sketch and draw and encouraged me to "play" with anything art related.  Her sister, my Aunt Jenny was an award winning oil painter as well as an artist in pastels.

In the beginning I loved sketching in graphite and charcoal. I also enjoy working in water colors.   In the mid 90's I began to learn to paint in oils.  Later in life when I attempted creating my first website I discovered digital art.  Not being able to find backgrounds and buttons for my website I began playing around in paintshop pro and created my own.  Later I turned to PhotoImpact which I use to this day to create digital art of all kinds.  I even began my own web graphics & design business.

That was supposed to be printed - my keyboard is playing up. Wanted to be able to see all fractals the same size (or bigger) as the rose one. Have you made prints of them? Wonder how they would look big - e.g. A1?

Hank just made me smile - that sums it up. Love the fractals. Especially peacock feathers, rose and 61a - a real firework! I guess the fractals can be prined at any size?

Cat I am so excited to have you leading our new digital art group! I too am a graphic designer working in the design field...but a little more on the business side of design. Mostly I work on campaigns for branding small businesses. I am taking a digital art class this summer and am really looking forward to exploring this medium more creatively. We are so fortunate to have your guidance with this!

Hello my fellow artists!

First I want to thank all of you for the prayers and well wishes.  I really appreciate it! *hugs all around*.

In regards to my epilepsy, I am doing very well so far.  I have not had any further tonic-clonic seizures as of yet and I realized today that it's been several weeks since I've experienced any of what we think may be simple partial seizures!  I have also been migraine free for an entire month!!  That's the first time in four years I've been…

Hello everyone!

I want to apologize for not being around for a while and let you all know what's been going on.

In September as we were moving to a new house my husband's father passed away.  Earlier, in April, my father had passed away as well.

Just before I joined the Art Colony last year, I experienced my first generalized tonic-clonic seizure (Grand Mal).  We had hoped it was a one time event.  Many people every year have will have an unprovoked seizure and then…

A Different Kind of Medium/Art

Recently we (hubby & I) made the decision to move.  Just prior to making the decision I had begun a project which I have been diligently attempting to complete prior to our move.  I love to crochet and had made some snowflakes for our Christmas tree last year.  I had several people ask if I sold them?  Since it was mid December I decided to wait until this year to attempt to make and sell any.

Last month I began choosing patterns I liked and started to crochet &…
