thanks for the nice comments.. the foxes seem to have no problems with cats and I often see the same cats and foxes handing about together like they were friends. you often see them feeding together when someone has left out food for them.  these are town foxes born and breed a country fox might be less friendly but in one town a team has been researching foxes with cat and if they do have a problem it's always the fox that back down
