"Thanks so much for commenting, Dorothy, John, RLOliver, Diana and Pamela! Those days seemed much simpler ! As John does, I remember occupations that no longer seem to exist....showing our age I suppose!!"
Thanks so much again my dear friend..... your words of support mean alot to me Jean. Hope you are doing well and based on the work I have seen you are a busy gal with htose talented hands. Looking forward to your next piece and good luck at your upcoming shows.
I reread your comment and it was even flattering when I thought at first it was correctional, i.e. saying it was visually too loud and forceful. So I guess that means that the loud part came out in the wash :)
I don't know why it is but in the UK I've met many people who have had doctor receptionist who seem to think because the work for a Doctor they are somehow qualified to make judgements on people's health problem. Perhaps it's because people who wanted be doctors gravitate to that sort of job
The one at my old practice was sacked in the end the doctor had warned her on a number of occasions but when she told a mother to stop giving her child fizzy drink a give it paracetamol and the child had appendicitis she was sacked on the spot
Hi jean thanks for you great comments... I think theres are great difference in our medical experiences in our countries. we don't pay for treatment or insurance. When you pay for a service and have a choice where to go the doctors want your money and go the extra mile to make it a good experience.
The issue isnt the Doctor but the receptions, you can get some who seem to think because they work for a doctor that they suddenly become medical experts and that they can make over the phone diagnosis with out the need of a doctor and are very reluctant to give you an appointment. They seem to think because they work for a doctor that that a very important person
