I am "50 something",  a complicated mother of two grown sons and grandmother of 4 beautiful children...I am also a decent cook, a fairly good handy "man", and a self taught, mixed media/collage, assemblage, altered book artist for the last 30 years. I have recently become an Expressive Art and Writing Facilitator and Coach and now teach my own workshops. I am also a Creativity Coach, a published writer and a poet. I originally began to paint in oils and acrylics only, and did mostly fine or traditional art or decorative art on just about any surface and even had my own commission artwork and gift shop where I sold retail and wholesale, but I gave all that up to play in my art journals, and alter my various books, as well as teach my various workshops. I loved the "no-stress" aspect of just letting it flow and creating what I want instead of what others want from me...n

I have had two open heart surgeries in 5 years, the last one being in May 2012, and finally, I am feeling a little better! Thank you to all of the kind souls that sent me "Get Well" letters, postcards, ATC's and more, the kind words and encouragement really did seem to help me get well faster!..they are all very special to me and I have them in a collection that I am going to make a special scrapbook for!
