Is there something specific I can help with Sheryl? There are some really good books out there that cover a lot of information about painting on rocks. I got started by doing rock paintings in my children's summer art camps. I use acrylic paints and a variety of sealers to protect the paint once I'm done. My preference is for exterior polyurethane.
I have also enjoy using permapaque markers...a wonder paint marker with two tips. They are easier to control than a paint brush and make it easier to do fine details on a rock. Hope this helps!
