I wonder sometimes

Sometimes i wonder what creativity is all about, beyond the action and reaction ,outside the ego and the therapy. I wonder out of interest most often when i am painting, alone at night, absorbed, lost in it. Maybe thats the answer, the absorption the getting lost, or maybe thats just another therapy. There's a pointlessness which every so often makes me stop and catch my breath, to close my eyes and just draw the brush through the paint until the sound of dry bristle on canvas makes me look…

Walter Crane & Mythology

Born in Lancashire in 1845 and an active Socialist alongside textile designer, William Morris (1834-1896), Walter Crane was also a successful book illustrator and decorative artist, who was a strong political believer in Socialism and also the Aesthetic movement, which demonstrate the importance of art and other cultures, for example, literature and music. hi jane, my friend

jane, well done on your art - it is so good!

tell me, how do you divide your time? you seem to get so much done.

i love copics too but i love so many other mediums too i only seem to use things a little before i move on to something else. but that is me all over...i get bored quickly and i crave variety.

i must settle for being a 'generalist' . it is nearly impossible to specialise. thinking of you cheeky!

Some of the most beautiful places in England are either where the sea meets the land or where the rivers meet the sea. Over the last year i have found myself caught up in the sea though my feet are on the land. I have listened to music written over many years and visited countless beaches and British…
