So, a big thank you to all who have commented on my recent water colour attempts. I am a quilter who is without a sewing machine at the moment, and will be for the next 6 months; so decided to attempt some water colour art. I was inspired by Jean Haines; her work is amazing. There is something to learn from everyone and this Colony of artists is just fantastic. Thank you.

Hey there, I just wanted to share a bit about what art for me really is.
I think art is the true freedom of expression, to me it is so much more than knowing the formalities.
I think many people have been stopped over the years from creating, just because someone along life's way
hurt their feelings. If you are creating just to gain approval of others then just stop, but if you are creating

When it came time to pick a career I told my guidance counselor I wanted to do art.He said to forget it ,if you don't know a lot of people with a lot of money it won't work.I was crushed.I gave up on my dream.
