This is my first day on this site and I have to say I am really impressed. It's a great place to show my artwork and talk to other artists, getting feedback from them is great. Seeing as this seems to be a day of firsts....This is the first time I have ever written a blog, and to be honest I wasnt sure what to write or even how to get started. Looks like I over came that hurdle lol. I am really looking forward to getting to know you good people on this site, making friends and enjoying the…

Good morning! As usual i am awake too early again, in fact i woke at 1.50am and have been busy making a beaded necklace for my cross, using pearls, rose quartz and amber, on silk thread. Then i have been considering an unfinished painting, is it naturally correct?!

Well, I finally remembered to stop every now and then and take pictures. I really like WIPs. I've learned a lot from the ones other artists have posted.
Miki is a wonderful artist. She's been a friend of mine on several other sites for several years. She gave approval to post this. I hope it's of some help to others interested in drawing CP portraits.

Jo's back yard was a happening. While painting my dog Clancy I looked at my pallet and it looked like Jo’s back yard. No painting on my part just test strips of paint before applying it to the canvas. It goes to show you that art is where find it!

I just wrote this on my personal blog. If anybody can relate to artists and our very unique rhythm and timing, feel free to follow the link, read and leave comments. It's quite a long writing, which is why I am not posting in it directly on this side.

I posted this on one of the groups, but I thought I might as well just ask the question here. I am mostly a realistic painter, but I did a commissioned abstract art piece a while ago and even though my client was very happy, I got some really negative responces on FB from other artists, so although I really enjoyed it (especially as a "head cleaner") I just stopped...if it has no value there is no use for me to continue with abstract work. My husband is not an abstract fan, so I won't be…

I am new to this site. I wish I knew about the site years ago when I was starting out! There is just so much to learn and the whole set-up is positive. That is such a blessing. I recently left Facebook and other similar social networks, because there always seemed to be negativity, conflict and just plain old jealousy and it started to mess up my soul and mind-set.
I love it here, so I will definitely be staying.
xx
