painting with wood

try this some time it is fun and interesting way to art up any thing that is flat.. i used plaster lathe wood you can still get at any lumber yard.. stained it and cut it to fit a pencil drawing i did on plywood. finished it with poly urethane.. I used it as a table until the legs broke.. then i cut off the legs and hung it on the wall.. whallah... wood…

painting subjects

clouds are never white

i was told that clouds are never white.. but like water reflect many colors that surround them. i hard for me to always remember this. or rather to express it in paint.. i always think i"m going to ruin a painting using white, black or grey. I discovered that by mixing colors the best you can hope for is grey or some form of indigo, violet, or forest green grey,

on becoming real

i would like to say something about this painting and why i painted it. Some times we ignore what is right there. i know i do. but, what is right there is real or required real people like models and artists. when i see things it makes me think... In this case i noticed people not seeing this statue. may be they were not into sculpture. may be the museum of modern art in NY had…
