I stretched a large canvas the other  day and then once gessoed up spent an hour just staring at it, its the inspiration thing again, the feeling of going round and round in circles not knowing where you want to head..... but the fun thing is after  staring at the canvas for such a long time the idea comes and you thrash about splashing paint on in controlled and sometimes uncontrolled manner.

And if you dont like it just paint over it and start again I can do this several times until im happy, recycling can be very satisfying at times

Thats what I like about using canvases, just today I have done a piece of work didnt like it something just wasnt working on it so out came the white paint and turture started to appear underneath the white..... art has no bounderies
