So the scientist is back in the house!  Just had an idea and I dont know if its brilliant yet.  I am going to try and merge fantasy with realism using glazing.  If you dont hear back from me in a few days I am still working on the piece.  In the interim I am going to do another self portrait.  The first one was a mix of.....(I dont remember the term) ah!! caracature I believe it is and realism.  This one is going strictly on the realistic side of things - head wrap and all.

The only other thing that I have to work on is drawing small hands.  It is the funniest thing what my mind perceives as challenges.  For eg.  I can draw big hands but not small ones;  I can work on 9 x 12 canvas but I cant focus to work on anything bigger.  I literally get confused; I can fill in detail on a human subject but cant do it on trees;  I am afraid of doing a piece with trees only but can do a river scene (basic one).  So I have a lot to work on, but I will be taking it one at a time.

The important thing is actually attempting to resolve the conflict!
