Inspirations and getting started........once again

I find I need to re-group my creative brain every so often and make lists. I often wonder if this is common among artists. I have many talents and harnessing them without squashing my creative think tank is like a fine dance. When I am all over the place as I put it, I like to start fresh, with a sketch book and meditation time out. Make notes and draw in my inspirations. Back at my studio I start fresh with my sketch book and create.

I have just finished out a large compilation of pottery and other work for a gallery,  most of it sold and I need to re-group and start again, this time I plan to move forward with that same theme, where to take it now is my stuck point. I'll go to the Lake today book in hand, music in my ears and start the process of inspirations onto paper. I am excited to start fresh, and see where it ends up. :)

I hope to be able to watercolor this week too, it's my favorite medium, besides the clay I love.

So here is where I am starting, at the Art Colony. Hello to all inspired artists here, I hope to inspire as well as be inspired.

Grace, I think the act of holding and writing with the pen or pencil and paper just makes us feel better like we are starting to create. :)

I do a process I call creatives. I may start with a letter like a. I will then develop this in a variety of ways -- make into a person, etc. I try to develop a new scene for this new image.I will also try new approaches with a variety of  media.

Jeffrey, That's a cool way to get started! I think I will try that sometime.
