I have always loved being creative and since a small child have moved from one project to the next with great enthusiasm.  Now that my children are all grown up, I now have more time on my hands and find that I ache to just be able to express myself through my artwork.

I have neglected this part of my life lately and constantly felt like something was missing no matter how happy I was feeling.  My very supportive husband decided to give me a kick in the rear end to get me back on track and this years Christmas present was a table-top easel, paints, brushes, canvasses, various other tools & equipment and for me, the most exciting of all, a 5 week course with a talented  local lady artist.

I am starting this course on 4 January (what a lovely start to 2014) and I really hope that this will give me the knowledge and confidence I need to put the images & emotions that are in my head into my artwork. That is why I say "this is for me".

That is great Avryll. Your husband sounds like a good man...lol....And a 5 week course to boot, wow, lucky you. We'll all be waiting to see your creations. This is why I now say "this is my time".
