Hiya Marilyn. Pleased that you think my last pic was atmospheric, as it was that which I was trying to catch and not the lads with the boat......they just happened to be there. :o)
Thanks for the info on stretchers. Although I know that they work really well, I find that all of the kit you need laughably expensive. Anyhow, I've always had good results using the old skool method.......slapping the paper on to my drawing table and sticking it down with some brown tape, and it's MUCH cheaper. :o)
Thanks a lot for the comments on my "no idea" and "Art trail". The Doctor's are trying their best . Helen has had blood clots on previous occasions in both the legs and her lung and this leaves scaring that shows up on ct scan and Doppler test so it's hard to find anything in the normal tests and as she suffers from foot drop she has none of the pain that you normally get
Hopefully I can get into the Brentwood art trail it'll be another good experience i enjoyed the last one I took part in last year and it has many more visitors
yes, I do have photos of her. I was born when she was forty two years old and at first had only photographs of her as a teenager and just beyond. Then one day I was sent a photo of her at the age of fifty odd. It was a tiny photo but when I enlarged it I exclaimed "I have seen her before!!!" What happened was that I was adopted when I was four months old and the memory of her face had been imprinted on my mind.
It was such a strange experience because whenever I had seen women who looked like her I had felt strangely warmed - it has happened throughout my life - long before I had any photos or knew anything about her (I received my first photo of her five or so years ago and I am now eighty) I recall the last time I had seen someone like her before I received that photograph - it was a Muslum lady in the market at Aylesbury - such a strange experience - just a passing feeling of warmth as I looked at her face as she passed by. Because I had never seen a photograph of my mother at the time I was born it always puzzled me as to why I should feel that way about seeing someone like her . . .
I had too go without a driving licence for a while because of health problems and Although basildon is the UKs 7th largest town public transport is terrible.. somehow I've missed stopping of at the Chilterns i think i've always flown around the area or straight through to oxford
