Speaking of suicide, that was the precipitating factor for bullying prevention in Norway in the early 80s, i.e. 3 adolescent victims of bullying took their lives, thus setting off a chain of events in social psychology that continues today.
I hope your trip is enjoyable in every way. I was at the University of South Dakota for six years, failed to get tenure, but lived next door to Minnesota and my best friend was from the Minneapolis area. His professor at Southern Illinois U was from Norway and introduced John and I to the work of Dan Olweus, social psychologist, and head of the bullying prevention program in Norway. Quite an education it was!
I saw that you lived in Finland before, thus mentioned the TV series called Border Town. All I really know about Finland is that it has taken over from Norway as having the best bullying prevention program in the world. I studied bullying for about 15 years and gained lots of respect for their socially conscious society. Hope you enjoy the trip.
Thanks Mari! Glad you liked the Basket Man or Hombre de Canastas in Spanish. Our biographies are similar, i.e. I let other things and other jobs take away from my pursuit of art. I am now old enough not to wait longer. Good luck with your art career. You might want to look at www.rloliverartist.com and tell me what you think? Maybe not.
Well, I will say make yourself some golden paste with tumeric , coconut oil and black organic pepper and boil it a little , by adding a little water and make into a not runny mixture but not to thick either, then eat a spoon with water or make it into a tea, and you will soon find all your pain gone and wont even know you had a cast on. Read An elephant in my kitchen while you rest. It is a brilliant read and ' A year in the Bush' by James Hendry. Will keep you in stitches.. haha.
