Hi Mairi, Lauberge was an institution when I was growing up. We had a skiffle group that played in the intervals at Eel Pie Island. Bands like Ken Collyer, Humphrey Littleton and Acker Bilk. At the end of the evening we would walk along the towpath to Lauberge Richmond, have coffee and cake and sit there until 5.00 am. I think the guy who ran it (or owned it) was Andt. He never minded us sitting there all night.
