Delightful subjects all around.  I enjoyed reliving those days while drawing it. There was a vacant lot on an adjoining lot and it was full of trees and rocks. Quite a playground!  Unfortunately we moved to Tulsa the following year, much to my and my siblings regret. Arkansas is a beautiful state... the home to my family for nearly 200 years.

Hi Cathey, thanks for the nice comment on my footstool. I have to say that I understand loneliness and it really sucks. It's sometimes so hard to know what to do about it. I joined our local rughooking group and that has helped so much. We meet every Tuesday for hooking and lunch. Right now I'm kind of stuck with what my next project will be but I will be sure to post it when I get done. Take care and thanks again, Bev

Thank you so much Cathey. I am glad that you liked my work and to know that we both share same interest. Even I am very excited to be friend with you, thank you for accepting my request.

I generally like to use Old Papers, Plastic and Glass. My Dad also use to upcycle old timber furniture, I think that's the reason why my mind is driven by the concept of upcycling.

Will try to post more such art piece and looking forward to see your beautiful upcycling art piece as well.

Vaidehee.

Hi Cathy,

I am glad you like the birds. Abstract like back grounds are easy to do, all I do is add colors and blend them (quick and easy). Since my divorce, I have turned my home into a studio - even the bedroom has an easel in it. haha

Hi Cath...yes, ppl tell me all the time to do adult colouring books....and I don't mind other ppl colouring my art...in fact it was suggested that we take one of my colouring pages and have a challenge....that would be so cool and I would be sooooooo honoured....would love to see the great variety of colouring styles....

yes I did start a drawing for my story....not really happy with it but its the best I could do....not in the right art mode again but doing my best to contribute to Georgie's memoriam....working on another drawing too...will post soon....and thank you for the compliment on my story....working on another one but cant seem to get it all together....dang!...

Wishing you good health and less complications and stress...keep the faith....and stay positive....

Your friend,

Nelson

Hey Cathey, hope is all well with you? A cracker jack box of an apartment would be fine with me? LOL. I am seriously thinking of downsizing myself. My 3 children are all grown and 2 of them are in the military themselves. I just recently finished a M60A1 Tank drawing for a friend of mine, that served in the Marines with me. I posted it earlier this week. It's a Vietnam era tank, the Marines used it up until the end of the Gulf War. It's the Tank that I was on, when I was in. I am going to draw a Jagdpanther next, I think? I never know? I get too many ideas in my head, and so many things I want to draw. Keep in touch, and hope you have a wonderful day!

Hi Cathey,  I noticed on Kat's collage called Masquerade~  you made 2 exact comments. I've done that before also. If you'd like to delete one just go to Masquerade again- there will be a red next to both your comments in the upper right of them..hit just one of them & that one will be deleted.    Hope you've been well & things are going good in your life.   xo

Cathey, so glad to hear that Gunther is doing pretty well right now!  My China is a female, and do not know exactly how old she is, as she is a rescued dog.  Estimated age is 11-13, and her last exam indicated a heart murmur; she has had several days lately where she wouldn't eat, and I know that's not a good sign.  I have not done any animal portraits, yet, but definitely want to do that eventually.  And thank you so much for your very, very kind and generous comments about my work--it means a lot, especially as I've been trying to sell (on other sites), have not had any sales, and no one seems to be at all impressed!  But I've only SERIOUSLY been drawing since May and I know I'm still developing.  Kiss that boy for me and keep doing your artwork!

Oh,wow, I so appreciate you comments and on my profile!   Yes, I'm a newbie here! Right now I am drawing a lot, but I go in spurts from trying realism to expressive to totally abstract!  Drawings seem to do better when photoing for posting-most of my work is far to large to scan in my copier! On thing  I have found is that larger pieces (and I paint large-usually 30" x 40" or larger) is it somehow gets distorted and also loses some impact because the size is part of the impact! Sorry to babble-thanks for the lovely comments and off to see my granddaughter today!  jean

Hey Cathey, I'm glad you like my work! I just friended you, hope you except. You know, your idea about a Vietnam subject would be nice. I might do a M48 tank with a map of Vietnam in the background? I have so much to do, there is so much to draw, I will never get it all done in my life. LOL.
