Hi Cathey! Thank you for your kind words! We are all very different here, so Go for drawing or painting the tree! We all support and do not judge here! I look forward to your tree if you choose to do it! Hugs Kat
Wow Cathey...I love your response to my email. I am glad you are having such positive experiences here. I love this site too. Artists here are so kind, friendly, caring and like a big family. And everybody has such diverse artistic skills its incredible seeing all these wonderful works on one phenomenal site. Honestly Cathey, I don't know what Im waiting for to take my artworks to the next level..Ive had so many offers from ppl who would sponsor me or do all the financial worries for me and all I have to do is the artworks...when our company was heavily involved in the Hawaiian tourist souvenir trade, I designed many products...they sold well and for many yrs... they kinda never went outta style...when new management came aboard, they dismantled everything...that was a sad time for our company...we produced hundreds of Hawaiian inspired tourist products including weaving and dying our own hula skirts...now its all a thing of the past....we did business as "Lanakila Crafts"...and the other impressive part of all this is that these products were done by adults with special needs....it was amazing!
Hi Cathey...nice to read you bio...I too love anything creative...love to draw, craft, decorate for the holidays and special events, create Halloween costumes and anything that will get my creative and artistic juices flowing....LOL....I am glad you found this site....the artists' here are so warm, caring and helpful its like an extended family...I know you will enjoy your time here...keep creating your wonderful crafts and sharing them with us...we will all enjoy seeing more of them...it must be awesome selling your products too huh?...that's great!!!...well enjoy your time here and I will see you back in the gallery...have an artsy kinda day....Aloha
I have written 2 emails...both deleted. I must hit a wrong key? Anyway...thanks for your note. We'll meet sometime this Summer. I know we'll become good friends. Too bad we live so far apart.
Are you worried about your daughter and her little baby? Can the baby's father seek any custody or visitation? So hard!! 3 months is such a cute age! You will be a busy Grandma!!
I will have to write more later, as I have so much to do today. Have my God-daughter and her daughter coming on Friday from Kansas City.Too ot to run all over with them, so will have to figure out what to do.
Kendall, age 10, took 4th in the State Diving Meet! WOW! I never was a good swimmer...had to plug my nose and go with one arm! Hot as the devil...she loved all her grandparents came. She is a very cute little girl, but tiny for her age. I was a shrimp, until high school, so must get that from me? Debbie, her mother, is only 5'4" and I am shrinking!! 5'4 1/2. Probably be a midget in a few years! Oh who cares....my vanity must stop sometime!
Good for your daughter to leave the boyfriend. Hopefully, she will get child support! After having my mean boyfriend, don;t care if I ever date again! All the men liking me are 85!! No thanks!!!!!!!
Hi Cathy!! I just wrote you a personal email and lost it. Grrr! I am out the door to my grand-daughter's swim meet, so will write later! Thanks for your nice comments!!!Gosh...I am nothing special, but like you...artsy and LOVE this website! Made many terrific friends! Let's for sure meet in Castle Rock, when you get settled! Oh...I love soft pastels, but am trying a little water color. Calm is good?? Love kids and animals and a relaxed background..best is beaches? More later!!
Cathey, I hope you are getting these comments. One of the things that is a little confusing on this site is where to best comment. If I am not home the mail carrier will leave me a tag and I can pick up the envelope at the post office. Thank you so much for all the effort you have put into making sure I have the opportunity to have a small piece of your crafting art. :-)
Cathey thanks so much for the compliment! It is very encouraging. I am really looking forward to getting yours. After such an ordeal for you with the postal service I hope you are not discouraged from doing swaps. I will certainly let you know when they arrive.
Cathey, honestly, I feel like a third grader too. Sometime I get a bit discouraged when working on a project, especially if I feel I have to get it done in a certain time. I truly enjoy the graphite drawings, especially of animals, more than painting, I suppose because of the connection I feel with them. For me the pencils, give me more control in pursuit of the soul of the person or animal. They say the eyes are the windows of the soul..guess that is true for me.
Hi Cathey, You will love it here..I felt like I was home when I stumbled up the door steps and they let me in..: ") I feel like there are some over the top artists here but I feel like there is a place for me too.
Together we encourage and learn from each other. I do acrylics but also love doing odd things with it or adding things to it. Just being ourselves is what is important.
