Aloha Debra....you are very welcome my dear...you know I love your art....just my style!!!!...LOL...btw, I notice we're not yet friends....hello!....how can that be?....lol...sending you a friend request k.....Have a happy and joyous holiday season!
Hi Debra. I try not to take live to seriously but I couldn't tell a joke to save my life.. I posted the first operation painting I did on Instagram and it seemed to get a likes from medical people so maybe it closer to the truth than expected , most people have never seen the inside of an operating theatre as you go in asleep and hopefully you come out the same way
Thank you Debra . I'm sure I'll be scribbling away while sitting bedside again today. I started the art after my mum died while going through the bad period when my father gave up and followed her 5 month later. before that time I never ever bothered with drawing and certainly wouldn't have dream about painting ...but it got me through a very bad period and now wouldn't dream of not doing painting... I think I'll get lots of practice time at hospital Because my wife might need another three operations in the coming year
For many years I could go days without sleep and could easily manage on a couple of hours a day, now I do get a bit tired mid afternoon and occasionally nod off , last time I was checked at the hospital because I have sleep apnoea I have increased sleep to just under 4.5 hours a night on average so it still give me lots of time to paint.
Thanks Debra Yes it does help. Gesture seems to be a key word. Doing it is really fun. I am a stroke survivor and only have one hand that works and I am in a wheel chair so try to keep busy with simple but interesting stuff. Take care. Jean
