Photography colored pencil?

I am having trouble photographing my colored pencil landscapes. It is really hard to get glare out of the picture and it shows more lines than it seems to do when you are just looking at them.  Any…READ MORE

I was so furious and fed up with the blah, blah, blah of dealing with them.

I don’t think I have ever really used art to express the way I am feeling until I went into this depression that almost consumed me. I will continue to share some of my more expressionable drawings with you. It is hard to do this, but feel since the blog is about expressing myself, then I will do that.

Let me know if you can relate to this or not. Or if I am a just a “little” insane!!

As to you works they have an immediate impact of power and intensity I find wondrous. To express so much with so few lines is indeed a gift, one I wish I had myself.

Hello Cathi. My Etsy shop is not yet up. I've gone through the first few stages but haven't actually put up any items to sell yet. Sorry I can't be more helpful there. My experience with doodle art is sort of similar to yours. I also went through a longish down period and only really started to create again in a big way when I discovered doodle art. It's particularly enjoyable when I can't sleep. Your work is very impressive! And quite different to what's out there. If I could say anything, just take the leap and set up an Etsy shop and actually put your work out there, don't be like me lol (too distracted for my own good). I'd love to talk more with you :)

I find more and more that I am taking pictures of my art in different stages of progress..  It is a great way to get perspective on what is or isn't happening to your work.  It lets me know if what I "see" inside my mind is coming together or if I need to rethink that idea or change something before it is too late.

Sometimes I hate what I am doing. I would put it away for the night or the day or the Then walk into a room and it would seem like I was viewing it for the…
